Presqu'ile Provincial Park. Presqu'ile Provincial Park is a boomerang-shaped spit of sand and limestone that juts into Lake Ontario. An unusual combination of diverse ecosystems, the park is a haven for migratory birds and monarch butterflies, and is a prime hiking, waterfowl hunting and camping spot. Presqu'ile features beautiful walking trails, including Jobes’ Woods Trail - a 1km trail through one of Lake Ontario's largest marshes, the towering Beech-Maple forest and Marsh Boardwalk, the 1 km Owen Point Trail, and Newcastle Trail and Pioneer Trail - both 4 km trails through fields and forests that are suitable for cross-country skiing in winter. Lake on the Mountain (Picton). A natural curiosity with no apparent source, Lake on the Mountain is a gorgeous lake that has a constant flow of clean, fresh water, 60 meters above Lake Ontario. The Lake features beautiful beaches, playgrounds, boat launch facilities, hiking trails, and picnic tables. Enjoy sailing, boating, windsurfing, swimming and a beautiful view of the Bay of Quinte.

 Riverside Park. Located on the banks of the Moira River at the north end of Belleville, Riverside Park offers two great beaches, jogging paths, barbeque pits, picnic tables, a canteen and ample parking. Test your endurance as you jog to marked stations in the Kinsmen Participark, which offers well-designed equipment for climbing, swinging and chinning. Zwick's Centennial Park. Zwick's Centennial Park, south on Highway 62 on the Bay of Quinte, features lighted tennis courts, soccer fields, a boat launch, picnic facilities, a canteen, a wading pool and a band shell for live music and events. Colonel Roscoe Vanderwater Conservation Area. This 630 acre park just north of Belleville offers year-round recreational opportunities, including a sand beach for swimmers, 8 kilometers of nature trails, and 7 picnic and barbeque areas for group or family picnics. Sandbanks Provincial Park. One of southern Ontario's most delightful recreational spots, Sandbanks Provincial Park is a spectacular destination for outdoor adventure, including fishing, swimming, boating, sailing, canoeing, kayaking, windsurfing, hiking, biking, camping and wildlife viewing. The Park’s famous giant sand dunes and golden beaches on the shores of Lake Ontario form the largest freshwater bay mouth sandbars in the world. Sandbank’s three spectacular golden sand beaches - Outlet Beach, Sandbanks Beach and Dunes Beach - are the largest and most beautiful beaches in Ontario. The wide beaches and sparkling shallow waters are ideal for swimming, sunbathing, picnicking, windsurfing, sailing, canoeing and boating. East Lake and West Lake offer excellent fishing for large and small mouth bass, walleye, pike, perch and Chinook salmon. Rent canoes, kayaks and paddleboats at the park’s Wood Yard and Boat Rental Facility on Outlet River. The Park’s two beautiful self-guided trails - the 2km Cedar Sands Trail and 5km Woodlands Trail are popular for hiking, cycling and wildlife viewing. Belleville Waterfront & Ethic Festival. Festivals of Trees. Presented by the Quinte Arts Council, the annual Festival of Trees, held at Belleville’s Wally Dever Arena in November, is a wonderful way to kick-off the holiday season.
