The largest city in the Bay of Quinte Region, Belleville boasts many unique attractions, restaurants/lounges, shopping, live theatre, museums, businesses, family activities, beautiful parks and trails, recreational facilities, golf courses and festivals. Each July thousands enjoy Belleville’s Waterfront & Ethnic Festival, while beautiful music chimes year round from the City Hall clock tower overlooking the civic square and Farmers’ Market.

Belleville Waterfront. Located on the Bay of Quinte, Belleville's active waterfront offers tremendous facilities for sailboats and pleasure craft and an excellent yacht harbour, a picturesque stopping point for Great Lakes sailors and a favorite launch for windsurfers and sports fishing enthusiasts. The waterfront hosts the annual May fishing weekend that brings the finest anglers in North America to our shores. In the winter, Belleville becomes a major ice fishing destination.

Experience live horseracing at Quinte Exhibition Raceway in Belleville, world-class auto, motorcycle and drag racing at Shannonville Motorsport Park, and Ontario’s Major Junior A Hockey at the Quinte Sports Centre, home of the Belleville Bulls. History buffs will enjoy downtown Belleville’s impressive buildings, including the majestic City Hall and Glanmore National Historic site, both unique opportunities to step back into Victorian times. The striking RCAF Museum - just 15 minutes away in Quinte West - and the 1864 Jail in Napanee are interesting historic attractions.

Belleville Arts and Culture. Experience the region’s vibrant culture and live theatre at the Belleville’s Pinnacle Playhouse and Empire Theatre, the Regent Theatre in Picton and the nearby Stirling Festival Theatre. Enjoy walking, jogging, biking and rollerblading on the Belleville’s Bayshore Trail and beautiful paved Riverfront Trail. An award-winning community in bloom, there are floral displays throughout the city's park system and thousands of roses in Corby Park.

Explore Prince Edward County. Experience the long, sandy beaches at one of the most beautiful parks in Ontario, the Sandbanks Provincial Park in Prince Edward County, which is just 20 minutes away. The county also features Lake on the Mountain, a stunning natural lake 200 feet above the Bay of Quinte with no rivers flowing in or out of its waters.
